Mr Harbour put a new range in our little room, I returned Mr J.G.G.s books.

In the evening we went to Newport to hear the Rev. R.H. Spurges preach, his text was chapter Mathew . The chapel was very full, we arrived home about half past 9 o’clock.

We went to church in the afternoon. Miss Alford drank tea with us. In the evening we to chapel.

Olive Taylor was buried at Arreton, she was 14 years of age. In the evening Mr.G.C. called in. Julia returned from Ryde about 8 o’clock
